Well, the good news is that some tactics can help you get more traffic and followers, more comments, and more shares. Below are some of the tips you can try.
You Get What You Give
Like in all walks of life, to get something- first, you should give. Like the saying- what goes around comes around. So be generous with your posts, don’t save snippets of ‘your best’ for later, pour the best of you out.
Offer something free with your first post too. It doesn’t have to be something material, it could be an online item, such as free advice or learning, or free clip arts… Anything with the word free will get noticed and you will soon become less invisible and receive your good Karma.
You Are ALWAYS a Learner
No matter what you know, or think you know, there is always information or advice you can learn from. No one knows everything and everyone can improve themselves. To be the best version of yourself, you need to always open your mind to more learning. Sites such as this one give excellent examples as to why always being a student is so important. The only thing that is constant in life is change- by always learning, you are always keeping relevant.
Interaction
Do you know the one person that is always a good listener but never invited to parties? You don’t want to be them. Interaction is the key to being noticed.
- Ask questions- people will always have answers and opinions to any question, so start by asking. Be sure to reply to answers though.
- Set up a quiz- everyone loves a good quiz, make them a regular thing and people will come rolling in.
- Surveys- a little like asking a question, people enjoy a good survey providing it isn’t too long and the questions are relevant.
- Competitions- Be sure to advertise the prize and when it will be drawn.
Advertise
Advertising yourself is one of the most important things to do when you are starting your own blog, company or article. Social media has taken the world by storm in the last few years, so this is obviously the best way to get noticed.

Protect Your Work
There are a lot of people online with a lot of different ideas, but occasionally someone will try to steal a plan or design and no repercussions come of it because the idea wasn’t protected. Whether you are an artist advertising your own work or a blogger just starting out, always sign and copyright your ideas. Stealing someone else’s patented idea is a civil offence that can bring about lawsuits.
This may seem extreme but if you are really trying to make a name for yourself you don’t want somebody else taking credit for your hard work. You can make your work shareable but have the clause that it must be shared with credit to you- this way your name will get out there and start to get noticed. It is a simple tip but can really work in your favour if you get enough shares!
It takes great courage to shift from invisibility to being seen and valued, it can feel overwhelming, you may have a fear of failure, but keep going. People will notice your name and work popping up on their screens. Soon enough they’ll start to click their mouse your way.
